Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives within the off-highway and truck industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales and business development background, with a proven track record of success in this specialized market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand business in the off-highway and truck industry.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities by building relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the sector.
- Maintain and strengthen a robust network of industry contacts to support business growth and collaboration.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to develop and execute effective sales strategies that surpass revenue goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
- Stay updated on market trends and competitive activities to stay ahead in the industry.
- Create and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and contracts to potential clients.
- Manage sales performance metrics and provide comprehensive reports to senior management.
- Represent the company at industry-specific events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand recognition and promote services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and business development in the engineering service industry, specifically within the off-highway and truck industry.
- Prior experience managing clients such as John Deere, Vermeer, Caterpillar, and Komatsu.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- In-depth understanding of the off-highway and truck industry and its major players.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing sales teams.
- Expertise in strategic planning and execution.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for client interactions and industry-specific events.
