Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives within the off-highway and truck industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales and business development background, with a proven track record of success in this specialized market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to expand business in the off-highway and truck industry.
  2. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities by building relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the sector.
  3. Maintain and strengthen a robust network of industry contacts to support business growth and collaboration.
  4. Lead and motivate the sales team to develop and execute effective sales strategies that surpass revenue goals.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
  6. Stay updated on market trends and competitive activities to stay ahead in the industry.
  7. Create and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and contracts to potential clients.
  8. Manage sales performance metrics and provide comprehensive reports to senior management.
  9. Represent the company at industry-specific events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand recognition and promote services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and business development in the engineering service industry, specifically within the off-highway and truck industry.
  • Prior experience managing clients such as John Deere, Vermeer, Caterpillar, and Komatsu.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • In-depth understanding of the off-highway and truck industry and its major players.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing sales teams.
  • Expertise in strategic planning and execution.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for client interactions and industry-specific events.
