THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

Multiple positions are open due to ongoing retail projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all site construction activities, coordinating trade and field personnel, ensuring high quality work, and maintaining construction safety practices. They will also manage the job site office and complete project closeouts. Candidates who live in the Carolinas, Georgia, or Eastern TN and are open to local travel and some night work will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities
  • Ensure project completion on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship
  • Maintain construction schedule and solve problems that arise
  • Order materials and schedule necessary inspections
  • Understand project plans and specifications
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees
  • Prepare daily reports, safety reports, schedules, and final punch lists
  • Promote job site safety and rectify hazards
  • Ensure adherence to company safety policy and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings and review job cost reporting
  • Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback to Project Manager
  • Establish staging plans and manage site logistics
  • Collaborate with Project Manager in scheduling pre-construction meetings
  • Provide feedback on reviewed submittals for compliance and coordination
  • Ensure quality work is being executed by crafts, suppliers, employees, and third-party contractors

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in crew management or supervising remodel/upfit work
  • Experienced in scheduling, ordering, quality control, safety, and production in all construction phases
  • Previous experience with Retail Remodel/Retail Upfit for Publix and/or Walmart

MUST BE HANDS-ON WITH STRONG LEADERSHIP SKILLS
