RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Retail Construction Coordinator will oversee multiple remodel, expansion, and ground up retail projects. Responsibilities include coordinating and supervising construction activities, maintaining construction schedule, ordering materials, conducting progress meetings, ensuring job site safety, and managing subcontractors.

  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities
  • Ensure project completion on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship
  • Maintain construction schedule and solve problems
  • Order materials and schedule necessary inspections
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and employees
  • Prepare reports, schedules, and punch lists
  • Promote job site safety and rectify hazards
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Review job cost reporting and subcontractor scopes of work
  • Collaborate with Project Manager on critical path craft pre-construction meetings
  • Provide feedback on submittals for compliance and coordination
  • Ensure quality work is implemented by crafts, suppliers, employees, and contractors

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating subcontractor trades
  • Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production in retail construction
  • Knowledge of field supervision, quality control, scheduling, ordering, safety, and production in construction
  • Preferred OSHA 30-hour Construction Training
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
