Quality Supervisor - 1st Shift and Night Shift

A well-established company with a major brand name is seeking a Quality Supervisor for their manufacturing plant in Indianapolis, IN. This role is available for both the 1st shift and the night shift. The position offers an attractive 401K and incentive plan, as well as relocation assistance if needed.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in meeting the demands of our customers nationwide. In this position, you will provide guidance, technical assistance, and scheduling support to our quality assurance technicians and associates. Your responsibilities will include conducting audits, evaluating the HACCP program, providing GMP training, addressing quality and safety issues with operations personnel, inspecting products, handling customer complaints, implementing procedures, and overseeing equipment installation or repair.

You will:

  • Lead various quality assurance activities, such as audits, training, and purchasing.
  • Provide technical training to our QA personnel.
  • Monitor and verify the HACCP plan's Critical Control Points (CCPs).
  • Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
  • Coordinate with production to monitor packaging lines and ensure control of weights, metal detection, codes, and product/package integrity.
  • Verify the functionality and adherence to operations control systems.
  • Manage product hold, release, disposition, and assessment of damaged products.
  • Coordinate the resolution of customer complaints.
  • Review lab results for completion and compliance with relevant programs.

You have:

  • Preferred: BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field - Will consider applicants without a degree if they have relevant experience.
  • Minimum: 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience with HACCP Plans.
  • Familiarity with government regulations such as FDA and USDA.
  • Open to considering applicants from all industries.
