Responsibilities
- Direct, coordinate, train, and supervise the assigned Quality Assurance Technicians and team members
- Deliver training and education on various quality control techniques
- Lead department and process improvement teams, utilizing lean enterprise techniques
- Drive quality measurement and improvement activities to meet both internal and external quality requirements
- Review engineering documentation and collaborate with Engineering to establish quality and reliability standards
- Analyze inspection data, identify deviations from quality standards, and recommend improvements
- Conduct root cause analysis to address any quality issues
- Collect material samples, perform inspections, and determine raw material and in-process product conditions
- Analyze and interpret production and inspection data to assess conformance to specifications
- Maintain the quality assurance documentation system by developing and updating procedures
- Collaborate with product service and warranty personnel to resolve manufacturing quality problems
- Advocate for quality concerns and ensure their prompt resolution
- Develop and implement a supplier quality assurance program
Requirements
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in a technical field, relevant experience will also be considered
- 5+ years of quality experience in a similar manufacturing environment
- ASQ Certification is preferred
- Proficient in metal fabrication, possess strong QA methodology skills, and able to identify root causes of problems
- Exceptional people and leadership skills
