Product Manager-Non-Food-Private label
About the Role:
This specific role entails managing our product portfolio for a designated group of categories. The responsibilities include overseeing the product lifecycle management and financial performance of these items. This includes leading the sourcing, product development, and commercialization processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a category roadmap based on business opportunities, collaborating with key stakeholders, and executing the roadmap with excellence. Reports to: Brands Product Director
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and implementing category management plans and sourcing strategies for specific Brands categories, incorporating short, medium, and long-term goals
- Conducting industry analyses and competitive assessments to identify sales and margin opportunities that would benefit the company
- Leading the RFP process for identified Brands categories, from start to finish
- Negotiating contracts and business terms with suppliers utilizing a strategic sourcing process
- Providing business recommendations to decision-makers within the company
- Monitoring supplier performance and driving continuous cost improvements
- Performing ad hoc category or business analysis for stakeholders across the company
- Collaborating with suppliers to develop and commercialize new products
- Building financial summaries to evaluate category performance
- Creating reports and dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making
- Providing input for packaging design solutions
- Reviewing and approving legal and regulatory documentation to manage risk
- Generating sales and marketing content for digital marketing events
- Managing the Brands portfolio to ensure sales growth and enhanced margin performance
About The Pay:
- Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 Annually

About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Food Science, Economics or Supply Chain. MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of analytical experience with advanced Excel skills
- 7+ years of private label, sourcing, and/or product commercialization experience
- Strong knowledge of the private label commercialization process
- Action-oriented, self-starter with the ability to lead change and implement operational improvements
- Familiarity with clean-sheeting, should-cost modeling, and tolling
- Knowledgeable of category industry activities and risks
- Collaborative worker with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently
- Experience with mainframe ERP systems and multiple data sources is a plus
