The Process Excellence Manager is responsible for guiding and supporting site pillar leaders and the entire plant organization in the effective implementation of the company's Process Excellence program and High Performance Organization (HPO) tools and practices. This role ensures that the organization is designed to achieve the site plan through the elimination of losses and the active involvement of all employees. The Process Excellence Manager promotes the consistent and efficient use of pillar tools, facilitates effective communication across teams, and encourages the adoption of company best practices and standards. The Process Excellence Manager will become a subject matter expert on the company's process excellence program and HPO tools and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the site leadership team in establishing HPO systems and behaviors during the planning, start-up, and operation of a new plant.
  • Coach plant leadership and pillars to develop a high-performance culture at all levels of the organization.
    • Ensure the development of reliable systems as robust as safety and quality systems.
    • Ensure consistent adherence to standardized pillar requirements across all pillars.
    • Ensure prompt implementation of lead line reapplication across the site.
    • Take ownership of the Work Process Improvement pillar.
  • Ensure site compliance with the master planning cadence.
    • Complete or review the site loss analysis action plan.
    • Conduct organization performance modeling or health assessment.
    • Lead the internal and external process excellence phase assessment for the site.
    • Guide pillar leaders and department managers in developing and executing plans aligned with the site plan.
    • Create a glide path for completing the process excellence phases.
  • Support the results management process at all levels of the organization.
    • Provide coaching on how to determine appropriate metrics and targets across the organization.
    • Ensure clear display of result updates throughout the plant.
    • Guide pillar leads and department managers in the gap analysis process and response triggers.
    • Promote data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience in operations using continuous improvement tools (TPM, IWS, HPO, Operational Excellence, etc.) to deliver business results.
  • A track record of successfully improving and sustaining results.
  • Experience in training, facilitation, and group leadership.
  • Ability to lead and influence others.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
