Process Engineer
Drive a culture of high performance by engaging with floor technicians, providing coaching to enhance problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, and self-reliance. Collaborate with plant leadership to organize and prioritize initiatives, contributing to the achievement of the master plan and long-term vision. Continuously develop skills and expertise in Operations and Supply Chain, building a strong foundation in product manufacturing and our work system.

Location: Memphis, TN

Work Arrangements: 100% on-site
- Willingness to adjust work schedule to meet business needs (including off-shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.)
- Willingness to travel for Factory Acceptance Tests
(Travel may involve domestic or international travel, typically 1-2 times per year)

In this role, you will:

  • Acquire an expert-level understanding of the manufacturing process, mechanics, instrumentation, and product specifications of your designated line/area. Provide technical support to the line/area teams. Coach engineers, operating teams, and leadership in root cause identification and elimination of losses.
  • Improve overall safety, quality, and productivity by eliminating defects, identifying and executing loss-saving initiatives, and developing the operating teams' capabilities.
  • Lead the Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification (CQV) process for new projects. Serve as the primary point of contact and key organizational leader between the engineering and operations teams, ensuring full involvement during project execution and a seamless transition during turnover to operations.
  • Address performance gaps in the line/area through the implementation and effective coaching of the company's Continuous Improvement methodologies, while fostering a zero-loss culture.
  • Actively participate in training and qualification programs for the designated line/area. Contribute to assessments, ensure effective training, and maintain consistent qualification standards.
  • Take responsibility for reliability and quality data for the designated line/area in Proficy plant applications software, including improving methods for collecting accurate data.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, time management, and resource management skills to successfully complete project assignments.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to learn technical processes and systems

Additional skills and experience that we believe would contribute to success in this role:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in electrical controls/PLC
  • Background in food manufacturing
  • Skills in project management and technical problem-solving
  • Demonstrated use of formal problem-solving methodologies
  • The ability to work and influence within a team environment
