Responsibilities

  • Define metallurgical requirements for casting projects.
  • Troubleshoot casting problems.
  • Provide technical support to both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead or assist with continuous process improvements.

Requirements

  • BS in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with casting metallurgy.
  • Strong team player who can collaborate effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to defense projects.
  • Experience with induction furnace melting, arc melting, and AOD refining is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of alloys, particularly those involving copper, is preferred.
  • Experience with Six-Sigma / Lean Manufacturing practices is also beneficial.
