Responsibilities

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of 12 engineers, programmers, and technicians
  • Ensuring department performance and timely project completion
  • Providing guidance on design decisions made by the engineering staff
  • Setting goals and objectives aligned with overall engineering objectives
  • Developing and implementing training programs
  • Facilitating process improvement teams and continuous improvement efforts
  • Reviewing new designs and recommending modifications to enhance cost-effectiveness, quality, safety, and alignment with production capabilities
  • Offering technical engineering support for design and manufacturing issues
  • Assessing manufacturing processes for cost effectiveness, productivity, quality, safety, and feasibility
  • Working with the Director of Operations to prioritize and implement cost-reduction projects
  • Responding promptly to safety, quality, and production concerns
  • Overseeing the investigation, justification, and purchase of manufacturing assets
  • Collaborating with production, design engineering, production and inventory control, and sales teams to streamline designs and manufacturing processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading, supervising, or managing engineering professionals in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience with sheet metal manufacturing, including cutting, bending, machining, welding, painting, and assembly
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing

Salary: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00
