FOUNDRY MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Location: Newnan, GA

GENERAL SUMMARY:

An established company with a significant market share in manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant site in the southwest Atlanta, GA metropolitan area. The company is investing in new capital equipment. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency. This position offers major company benefits, bonus potential, and a 401k plan with 100% match up to 5%. Working hours are typically 8-5, with the possibility of up to 45-50 hours per week.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software (e.g. SolidWorks)
• Implement productivity improvements on existing production lines
• Perform root cause analysis of failures and recommend changes in designs and processes
• Design and implement production processes for new products and changes to existing products
• Review product designs for manufacturability and optimized processing

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software and Microsoft Office
• Experience in tooling, project management, and automation (robotics, PLCs)
• Manufacturing engineer experience in heavy manufacturing
• Foundry experience preferred
