Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Charles City, Iowa

Salary: $35-40/hour

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will have the primary responsibility of disassembling, repairing, and reassembling production machines used at the plant. Additionally, the Maintenance Tech will participate in special project duties.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot issues with manual and CNC equipment to identify problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all production equipment following work order instructions.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used for future reference.
• Have knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair work on plant equipment and CNC machines.
• Diagnose motor controls on 3-phase equipment and control circuits.
• Read and interpret schematics for equipment repairs.
• Assist in equipment relocation and repairs in various units within the plant.
• Demonstrate leadership skills by guiding junior team members and coordinating with external contractors.

Education & Experience Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• 2- 4 years of vocational training or 6 years of experience in a related maintenance field.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, blueprints, correspondence, and memos.
• Prior experience troubleshooting production equipment maintenance issues.
