Report To: Logistics Manager


Work Arrangements: 100% on-site



In this role you will:

  • Develop the skills of Logistics team leaders and technicians to achieve business goals and drive improvements in the line/area
  • Ensure that the team meets targets for Safety, Quality, Production, and Cost on their line/area
  • Create and maintain department/team scorecards and review them with leadership monthly, identifying gaps and their causes
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators for teams and regularly communicate the results
  • Engage with team members on the floor, providing coaching for problem-solving, decision-making, and self-reliance
  • Utilize High-Performance Organizational principles to develop leadership skills in individuals and teams
  • Collaborate with Logistics Manager to develop and implement the business master plan, including important technical and organizational projects
  • Address performance gaps through the effective use of company Continuous Improvement methodologies, fostering a zero-loss culture
  • Identify and eliminate root causes of department issues
  • Consistently apply company policies and procedures across your teams and administer appropriate discipline
  • Oversee training and qualification programs for the designated line/area, ensuring effective training and consistent standards
  • Translate complex information into easily understandable messages for clear communication and expectations
  • Adapt to change and gain team buy-in for new initiatives and improvements
  • Manage time and attendance for the designated line/area, including payroll approval
  • Provide feedback on performance to team leaders and technicians, including annual Performance Appraisals
  • Model the Basic Beliefs and Our Commitment to Each Other
  • Have knowledge of Supply Chain software/systems and serve as a resource to the team (WMS/Blue Yonder, IMI, Oracle)
  • Track and drive favorable manufacturing variances with accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure proper functioning of peanut usage and variance systems
  • Identify and support cost savings projects


What we are looking for:


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, any discipline
  • 2 years of experience in logistics or manufacturing operations, as well as experience in leading, supervising, or managing others
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a large organization to achieve business objectives
  • Ability to effectively engage with the team on the floor
  • Decisive, proactive, and strategic decision-maker
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause identification skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams across organizational boundaries
  • Self-motivated, organized, and quick to learn new skills/technologies
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that supports the organization effectively
  • Willingness to work off-shifts or weekends as needed
