Lead Systems Engineer - OSI PI

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on OSI PI engineer to ensure the success of our customers through the development of real-time data and historian-based solutions. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, data consumers, and data producers to ensure that our solutions provide real business value to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to design, configure, develop, test, and deploy real-time data solutions based on OSI PI (AVEVA), AspenTech, Canary, or similar technologies.
• Install and configure real-time data technologies, such as PI Server, AF Server, and other OSI PI Suite of products.
• Configure interfaces to control system infrastructures.
• Configure real-time data applications, visualizations, and reports according to design specifications.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with engineers, customers, manufacturing personnel, and 3rd-party vendors and contractors.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of design and configuration experience with a real-time data solution technology, such as OSI PI (AVEVA), AspenTech, Canary, or similar technologies.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to work with people.
• Understanding and adherence to client safety/quality policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Working knowledge of common control systems and interfacing to Historians and IT Applications.
• Experience working with any of the following is a plus:
  • Creation/modification of PI tags.
  • PI AF Element templates and AF Elements.
  • PI-based dashboards (PI Vision/Process Book).
  • PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications, and PI Event Frames.
  • PI Interfaces: OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI.
