Industrial Equipment Specialist

Location: Salisbury, North Carolina

Salary: $34-38/hour

Job Summary:

The Industrial Equipment Specialist is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the efficiency of company facilities in Salisbury, NC. This role involves proactive maintenance strategies, timely repairs, and keeping all assets in a functional state.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of Maintenance experience with a focus on Industrial machine repair
• Experience in maintaining machinery in production environments
• Strong technical understanding of mechanics, plumbing, hydraulics, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Proficiency in using hand tools, air tools, and overhead hoists
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Experience with safety committees and programs, knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to read and interpret machinery schematics and construction drawings
• Proficient in administrative tasks such as reporting and budgeting
• Experience in planning maintenance operations
• Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
• Ability to track and report on activity
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a team player
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to track expenses, manage budgets, and prioritize maintenance projects

Responsibilities:

• Plan and carry out all maintenance activities, including equipment preventive maintenance, facility repairs, and installation activities
• Organize and perform all preventive maintenance tasks
• Monitor and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prioritize repairs
• Analyze maintenance issues and develop solutions
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and new technologies
• Inspect electrical and HVAC systems to ensure functionality
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
• Negotiate contracts with vendors for maintenance services and parts
• Monitor maintenance expenses and manage the department budget effectively
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and regulations
