Our client is the leading and most comprehensive contractor for HVAC and Plumbing Design-Build projects in Utah. With a consistent workload and promising upcoming opportunities, we are seeking technicians to join our service team.
With a team of 300 employees specialized in the design, fabrication, installation, and service of HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and building automation systems, we are the market leaders.
Our Service Department is currently looking for Journeyman and Apprentice service technicians to join our team of over 60 technicians. You will have the opportunity to work and learn in a team environment, enhancing your technical skills and customer service capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reading and comprehending system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine system component configuration, such as compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts, or pipes.
- Servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Utilizing various hand-tools to repair units.
- Identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing systems and products at customer locations.
- Performing preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as required or requested by customers.
- Preparing for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating potential challenges, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Preferably a graduate of a certified technical school with at least 5 years of experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess relevant certifications, licenses, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
