HVAC Cad Drafter (Revit)
Our client is in need of a highly skilled individual to join their team as a Revit HVAC Drafter. This position will be located in Hartford, CT. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify detailed HVAC system designs and layouts. A background in HVAC systems, proficiency in CAD software, and an attention to detail are key qualities for the ideal candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed HVAC system drawings, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts.
- Ensure that designs adhere to project specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and make modifications to designs as needed.
- Review and incorporate feedback from clients and stakeholders into design revisions.
- Perform detailed checks of CAD drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
- Coordinate with field technicians to ensure that designs are feasible for installation.
- Assist in coordinating HVAC systems with other building systems, such as electrical, plumbing, and structural.
- Ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into the overall building design.
- Maintain up-to-date records of drawings and revisions.
- Prepare and submit design documents and progress reports to management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree or certification in CAD drafting, HVAC technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CAD operator, specifically with HVAC systems.
- Experience using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs.
- Proficiency in CAD software for HVAC system design.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt designs to meet project needs.
