Human Resources Representative
Job Title: HR Representative
Location: Wakefield, Nebraska
Salary: $40-50K
Job Summary: The HR Representative will be responsible for various administrative duties, providing assistance to employees, coordinating employee recognition and events, managing benefit enrollment, overseeing recruitment and orientation processes, ensuring compliance, handling communications, and more.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. Associates or Bachelors degree is preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish desired.
- Previous HR experience desired.
- Previous clerical experience desired.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees of the organization.
- Must be able to work independently or in a team as needed.
- Proficient knowledge and use of computer programs desired (Word and Excel required; Power Point).
- Must have effective follow-up, problem solving, communication, creativity and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and identify and change priorities efficiently to keep up with business demand.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Must be professional in dealing with personnel issues including maintaining confidential information.
- Current and valid driver’s license preferred.
- Knowledge of ATS and/or HRIS system desired.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration of various human resources programs and functions.
- HR Representatives will have specific focus areas, depending on department needs:
- Attendance tracking and discipline notices
- Service awards
- Update job descriptions and postings as needed
- Assist with recruitment (non-exempt) - posting vacancies, conducting interviews, making offers, pre-employment processes, orientation, job fairs, school presentations, tours, etc.
- Recognition programs (YMADs)
- Leave of absence management
- Anniversary and birthday calendars
- Planning and executing employee meals and events
- Conducting exit interviews and stay interviews
- Retention efforts
- New hire benefit enrollments, annual enrollments, and handling insurance queries
- Ensuring company bulletin boards and postings are up to date
- Filing
- EBI (I-9) expiration and system maintenance
- Perform various administrative duties including data entry, answering phones, photocopying, faxing, filing, etc.
- Provide assistance to employees as needed.
- Compile, update, and generate reports (e.g., audits).
- Assist with trainings, presentations, and events (e.g., designing Power Point presentations, room set-up).
- Provide backup support to others in the HR Department as needed.
- Participate in committees as required to maintain HR presence and support.
- Assume personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00
