THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all site construction activities, including managing field and subcontractor personnel to ensure successful completion of projects within schedule and budget. This role requires maintaining high-quality standards, coordinating trade and field personnel, and implementing proper construction safety practices. The Construction Project Manager is also responsible for managing the job site office and ensuring project closure.

  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities
  • Ensure project completion within schedule, budget, and specified quality standards
  • Maintain construction schedule, identify and solve problems
  • Order materials and schedule necessary inspections
  • Understand project plans and specifications
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees
  • Prepare daily reports, safety reports, schedules, and supervise final punch list completion
  • Promote job site safety and rectify hazards
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policy and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, including the construction office
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings with all trades
  • Monitor job cost reporting and assist in maintaining budget control
  • Review subcontractor scopes of work before contract award
  • Establish staging plans and manage site logistics
  • Collaborate with Project Manager in scheduling pre-construction meetings
  • Provide feedback on submittals for compliance and coordination
  • Ensure quality workmanship by overseeing workflow of crafts, suppliers, employees, and contractors
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in heavy commercial or industrial construction
  • Proficient in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production in all construction phases
  • Experience with Precast, tilt, and other construction techniques
  • Must be willing to travel within the state
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Hands-on approach with strong leadership skills
