Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Concord, New Hampshire

Salary: $65-75K plus bonus

Job Summary

We are seeking a Field Service Technician who is self-directed and skilled in customer interactions, technical report writing, and providing recommendations to our Product Development Group. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for independently assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Field Service role with decision-making responsibility
  • Electronics or Electrical certificate or degree
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time (both domestic and international)
  • Proficiency in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Highly preferred knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in Windows environment and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clean driving record
  • Comfort with working at heights
  • Experience in the use of PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity required. Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platform experience are highly preferred.
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a valid passport (with proper documentation to travel into and outside of the United States)

Responsibilities

  • Frequent interface with customers, end-users, vendors, and contractors
  • Provide support in scheduling and coordinating participation of vested parties during equipment installation and start-up activities
  • Coordinate internally to ensure timely response to customer inquiries
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment both onsite and remotely
  • Repair equipment installed onsite at customer facilities, including both warranty and non-warranty claims
  • Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations
  • Ensure proper implementation of pre-commissioning activities in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines
  • Travel to customer sites for final commissioning and demonstration of equipment functions
  • Assist project team in clearing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items
  • Participate in project and construction meetings
  • Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel
  • Act as trouble-shooter for on-site technical issues and provide support to customers
  • Independently coordinate site visits and travel arrangements
  • Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering

Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
