Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Concord, New Hampshire

Salary: $65-75K plus bonus

Job Summary

We are seeking a Field Service Technician who is capable of working independently, confident in customer interactions, proficient in writing technical reports, and able to provide product improvement recommendations to the Engineering team in the Product Development Group. The Field Service Technician's responsibilities include assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Field Service role with decision-making responsibility
  • Electronics or Electrical certificate or degree
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time (domestic and international)
  • Proficient in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Highly preferred knowledge in PLC's
  • Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot electrical schematics
  • Proficient in Windows environment and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Clean driving record
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity (preferably Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platforms)
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a valid passport for travel

Responsibilities

  • Frequent interactions with customers, vendors, and contractors
  • Schedule and coordinate participation of vested parties for equipment installation and start-up activities
  • Ensure timely response to customer inquiries
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment on-site and remotely
  • Perform warranty and non-warranty repairs at customer facilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations
  • Assist in pre-commissioning activities and ensure quality of work and reports
  • Travel to customer sites for final commissioning and equipment demonstrations
  • Clear mechanical, electrical, and automation punch list items as per project requirements
  • Participate in project and construction meetings
  • Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel
  • Respond to on-site technical issues and provide troubleshooting support
  • Coordinate site visits and travel arrangements
  • Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering
