FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (Medical)

Medical Equipment Technician - New York, NY

We are seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Technician to service medical instrumentation for our highly regarded manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. This position requires a strong background in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting. Previous experience in field service is a must, and experience servicing medical devices is preferred. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and servicing automated robotic medical instrumentation in the greater New York City area.

The base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $80,000, depending on experience. With overtime and performance bonuses, you can expect to earn an additional $4,000 to $8,000 annually, possibly more.

Qualifications:

  • A certificate or AAS degree in electronics or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong experience in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Some overnight travel may be required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service engineer.
  • Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for this job.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on medical instrumentation.
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer relations.
  • Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
  • Maintain inventory of car supplies, tools, and parts.
  • Provide basic on-site training on the operation of our company's instrumentation.
