Iowa-based Field Service Technician

Service medical laboratory equipment (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, etc) for a leading manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Preferred qualifications include current or recent Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing automated robotic lab instrumentation in the greater Des Moines, IA and Sioux City, IA area. The position requires a strong background in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.

**** No Relocation. Should reside within in a reasonable commute of the greater Des Moines, IA or Sioux City, IA area.

Qualifications:

• A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is required.
• Good experience with electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Overnight travel will be required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service engineer.
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation would be a plus.
• This job requires the individual to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities:

• Installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of the instrumentation.
• Establishing a strong foundation of customer relations.
• Coordinating problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
• Maintaining car inventory, such as tools, trunk stock (parts), etc.
• Providing basic on-site training regarding the operation of company instrumentation.
