On-site Technical Support Specialist

Location: Fort Myers, FL

We are seeking a skilled On-site Technical Support Specialist to service medical laboratory equipment, specifically hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and more, for a leading manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Previous experience in Field Service within the Medical Device industry is preferred. Your primary responsibility will be to service automated robotic lab instrumentation in the greater Fort Myers/Naples, FL area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of current or recent Field Service Experience
• Experience servicing electronics
• Experience servicing electro-mechanical equipment
• Ability to travel overnight

Qualifications:

• A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is required
• Good experience with electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting
• Overnight travel will be required
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service engineer
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation would be a plus
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Responsibilities:

• Installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of the instrumentation
• Establishing and maintaining good customer relations
• Coordinating problem resolution within the Field Support Group
• Maintaining car inventory, such as tools, trunk stock (parts), etc.
• Providing basic on-site training regarding the operation of company instrumentation

Benefits:

• Base salary ranging from $65,000 - $80,000 depending on experience
• Overtime & performance bonus should add an additional $4,000 - $8,000 annually, potentially more
