FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
Job Title: Field Technician
Location: San Jose, CA
Summary:
We are seeking a Field Technician to service medical laboratory equipment, specifically hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and more, for a leading manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Previous experience in Field Service within the Medical Device industry is preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing automated robotic lab instrumentation. As a requirement, you must currently reside in the GREATER FREMONT or SAN JOSE CA area, as no relocation assistance is provided. Excellent electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills are essential.

Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory instrumentation
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships
- Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group
- Manage car inventory, including tools and parts
- Provide basic on-site training on company instrumentation
Qualifications:
- Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is preferred
- Strong experience in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
- Willingness to travel overnight
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service engineer
- Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus
- COVID-19 vaccination is required
