A leading nonprofit skilled nursing facility in Connecticut is in search of an Executive Director / Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to offer strategic and operational guidance.
This role will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality resident care, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, managing financial resources, and cultivating a collaborative work environment. The goal is to uphold a legacy of exceptional clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear direction and strategic leadership to staff members across all facility departments, promoting teamwork and professional development
- Supervise day-to-day operations to guarantee continuous, high-quality care and exceptional resident outcomes
- Ensure full adherence to Connecticut state laws and federal regulations governing nursing homes
- Manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and exhibit sound financial and operational management
- Create a positive, supportive workplace culture that fosters staff retention and teamwork
- Engage with residents and families to maintain a resident- and family-focused culture, enhance care outcomes, and maximize satisfaction
- Lead quality assurance, regulatory audit preparation, risk management, and performance improvement efforts
- Participate in community engagement, organizational initiatives, and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted LNHA license in Connecticut required
- Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of Connecticut state health department codes and federal CMS regulations
- Financial Acumen: Track record of successful budget development, cost management, and resource allocation
- Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Decision-Making: Sound judgment and critical problem-solving skills
