Director of Warehouse Operations – Atlanta, GA

We are looking for a Director of Warehouse Operations to join a prominent food manufacturing company with an advanced distribution center in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will oversee a warehouse operation that runs 24/7, managing the movement of food products from production to distribution. This position will focus on Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), high-bay crane systems, WMS execution, inventory accuracy, food safety compliance, and customer fulfillment.

This role requires hands-on leadership experience in a high-volume food production or distribution setting that uses ASRS crane systems. The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of managing people, systems, automation, inventory, and product flow in a fast-paced food environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 24/7 warehouse operation in a high-volume food manufacturing setting
• Supervise warehouse leadership teams across different shifts
• Manage operational performance of ASRS crane systems, storage solutions, WMS, ERP, and warehouse technologies
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure efficient product flow and safety compliance
• Drive inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, shipping performance, and warehouse productivity
• Enhance ASRS system performance, loading accuracy, and throughput
• Plan labor, manage staffing, oversee budget, capital projects, and automation initiatives
• Cultivate a safety-focused, audit-ready warehouse culture
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and food safety requirements
• Develop a warehouse leadership team focused on accountability and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field
• 7+ years of warehouse/distribution leadership experience
• Minimum of 2 years in a Director-level warehouse leadership role
• Experience in food manufacturing or distribution
• Hands-on leadership experience with ASRS, especially high-bay crane systems
• Proficiency in WMS, ERP, inventory control, FIFO, and warehouse automation
• Experience managing 24/7 multi-shift warehouse operations
• Expertise in food safety, GMP, FDA, SQF, OSHA, and audit-ready practices
• Experience in labor planning, budgeting, KPI tracking, throughput management, and cost control
• Collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
