Job Title: Financial Manager
Location: Decorah, IA
Salary: $100-125K plus bonus
Job Summary:
The Financial Manager will be responsible for driving operational KPI's and ensuring profitability. They will assess the impact of accounting standards on all business activities and oversee the operations of the accounting department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the activities of the accounting department, including internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial closes and preparation of operating and financial reports for management.
- Analyze and interpret financial information.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, cash control, core payroll processing, and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
- Assist with annual budgets and cash forecasting.
- Provide leadership to a team of accounting professionals.
- Establish and maintain systems and controls.
- Actively participate in monthly business reviews.
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
- Successfully manage the annual audit process.
- Responsible for monthly consolidation and lead monthly review of financial statements.
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
- 10+ years of experience in the accounting and finance sector, preferably in multi-site manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of accounting/financial analysis, evolving technologies, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Above average skills in Microsoft Excel, including lookups, pivot tables & if statements.
- Demonstrated skills in independent decision making.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact across all levels within the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to facilitate, build teams, and work with groups.
- Continuous improvement mindset and a strong desire to make a difference.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
