Job Description - Lean Process Manager in Indianapolis, IN

A well-established and renowned company has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Manager at a process manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, IN. This position has become available due to an internal transfer. The company offers a range of major benefits including a 401K with a 100% match to 6% and an additional 3% company contribution. There is also a 15% bonus potential and 168 hours of PTO (monthly accrual that can be used in advance). Relocation within the country is also associated with this role. In this position, you will work alongside a team that emphasizes learning and continuous improvement to deliver world-class sustainable performance.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and subject matter expertise in the company's performance system best practices.
  • Guiding the roll-out of the company's performance system and leading the cultural shift towards managing through pillars.
  • Coordinating and supporting plant pillar and platform leads in areas such as 5S, Safety, Planned Maintenance, and Focused Improvement.
  • Engaging all associates through hands-on mentoring and audits.
  • Monitoring the Sprint Plan timeline and ensuring successful completion by engaging pillar leads and plant leadership.
  • Leading the Reliability Improvement Plans (RIP) by establishing action plans and scheduling follow-up meetings.
  • Coaching teams in giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communications, and external interactions.
  • Working with the Operations teams to create a work culture of Autonomous Maintenance and running to centerline.

To qualify for this position, you should have:

  • A degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in plant manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement environment, including TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and related process improvement systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in mentoring teams and individuals.
  • 5+ years of experience in root cause analysis, data collection, and using TPM/company performance system concepts such as "Why, Why/How, How" and Phenomena Thinking.
