Complex Human Resources Manager

HR Operations Manager - Lewiston Woodville, NC

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR function of a large meat/poultry plant.
  • Manage staffing, safety, associate relations, and employment data process functions.
  • Ensure that all processes comply with Company policy and procedure, and meet all compliance requirements (AAP, EEOC, DHS, DOL, OSHA, etc.).
  • Develop creative employee engagement and community outreach programs.
  • Maintain an effective recruiting/selection plan to attract talented individuals and adequately staff the facility.
  • Develop, implement, and audit processes (with metrics) to reduce turnover.
  • Ensure compliance with AAP, EEOC, DOL, DHS, OSHA, and all other federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Responsible for strategic Human Resources planning and goal setting.
  • Develop and update an annual HR business plan that supports the initiatives of field operations.
  • Develop and implement new ideas and concepts to move HR and the business forward.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree is required, along with at least 10 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Experience in food/CPG manufacturing is a must!
  • The ideal candidate will have previous knowledge and proven success in supervising functions such as AAP, OSHA, EEOC, DHS, DOL, exempt and non-exempt staffing.
  • Proven success in supervising HR associates, leading to innovation, accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Previous experience with HRIS, developing methods to reduce turnover, and expertise in developing and maintaining recognition programs.
  • Ability to train, coach, and mentor supervision in effective methods of directing the workforce.
  • Ability to supervise the Safety function and control worker compensation costs, TRIR, LTR.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to complete multiple protocols and projects on schedule.
  • Strong problem-solving skills at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to team performance and effective coaching, with demonstrated skills of a strong team player.
  • Willingness to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and company business as needed.
  • SHRM certification is strongly preferred.
