CNC Machinist – 1st shfit
Job Title: CNC Operator - Morning Shift
Location: Omaha, NE
Salary Range: $20-28/hour
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily production and scheduling as well as setting up and operating both CNC and conventional machines. You will work with various materials and components, and also handle special setups for customer projects.
·Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerance, sequences of operations, and setup requirements.
·Create, adjust, or modify CNC programs using manual methods or Computer Aided Machining software (CAM).
·Measure, mark, and confirm the specification dimensions and reference points on material or workpieces as guides for machining.
·Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, and drill presses.
·Calculate and set machine controls to regulate machining factors, such as speeds, feeds, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
·Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions, collisions of machine or tools, out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
·Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications by using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, and go-no-go gauges.
·Set up and operate machine on a trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data to avoid crashes or errors.
·Associates degree or completion of an apprenticeship in Machine/Tool and Die Technology.
·Certification of completion of a Certified Apprenticeship Program.
·Ability to operate both conventional and CNC equipment, and perform setups.
·3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
·Experience in a quality environment.
