Job Title: Assistant CNC Service Manager

Job Location: Windsor, CT

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of CNC Field Service Technicians in partnership with the CNC Service Manager, including reviewing and approving schedule requests, ensuring accountability, reviewing service reports, and conducting annual performance evaluations. Assist in co-supervising in-house service staff and technical support staff.
• Ensure accurate installation and efficient operation of all CNC machine tools based on customer expectations.
• Provide advanced technical troubleshooting support and training to the Service department.
• Maintain customer relationships, handle advanced situations, and conduct on-site visits.
• Act as a liaison to relay service updates, feedback, and quality suggestions to improve our builder's upstream efforts.
• Assess technicians' technical proficiencies and create personalized training plans when necessary.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels in the field service department to achieve same day/next day response time.
• Develop and evaluate metric data and implement continuous improvement projects as required.
• Travel as needed, up to 25%.
• Perform additional duties as necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Service Management/Engineering in the CNC machine tool industry.
• Knowledge of machine tool spindles, spindle repair, and machine design.
• Prior experience utilizing Salesforce to capture information and analyze metric performance is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in managing a dynamic field team.
• Hands-on experience making business decisions or taking actions to solve problems or reach goals.
