CMM Manager

Location: Colchester, CT

As our CMM Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the inspection process of our Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). You will provide guidance and support to operators, helping them navigate and resolve daily inspection challenges. Along with your leadership role, you will actively contribute to our daily production activities, ensuring the highest quality standards and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the CMM inspection process to meet quality standards
• Guide operators in resolving inspection-related issues, providing technical expertise on methods, tools, and corrective actions
• Assist operators in troubleshooting and resolving daily inspection challenges
• Contribute directly to achieving daily production goals when not guiding inspection operations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating and refining inspection processes
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure alignment with overall production goals

Qualifications:

• Experience with CMM programming, inspection techniques, and related equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex inspection issues
• Familiarity with high-tech manufacturing processes, quality standards, and production workflows
• Strong communication and leadership skills to mentor and support operators
• Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
• Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role in manufacturing or quality control is a plus
