CFC Field Service Technician
Position: CNC Field Service Technician
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:30am - 5:00pm
Type: Full-Time
Mode: Direct Placement
Pay: $24-$33 per hour (Dependent on experience)
Our client is seeking a responsible Field Service Technician for a Direct Placement position with our key manufacturing client. Candidates must have 2-5 years of related service technician experience.
- Advanced ability to interpret electrical schematics, including high voltage (220-440v), low voltage (12v-24v), and combined systems. Must be able to effectively troubleshoot using schematics and a multimeter.
- Advanced understanding and use of a multimeter to test voltage, current, and resistance.
- Knowledge of PLCs and how they work in conjunction with power supply, inputs and outputs, various switches, and an HMI.
- Familiarity with servo drives and motion control.
- Proficient in reading pneumatic schematics.
- Skilled in disassembling and reassembling complex electro-mechanical assemblies, showcasing advanced mechanical ability.
- Ability and willingness to learn the basics of CNC lathe control (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, etc.) and lathe programming for magazine bar feeding and CNC lathe part processing.
- Excellent customer interface skills, maintaining professional communication with end users and OEM-dealer contacts before, during, and after bar feeder installation and training.
- Travel: 70-85% overnight travel (nationwide)
Requirements:

- Strong communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Computer skills: Field service technicians must log information into digital customer files, therefore basic computer skills are essential for this role.
- Mechanical skills: Field service technicians utilize their hands and various tools to install and repair equipment, necessitating strong mechanical skills.
