What You'll Do
- Perform top-quality breast ultrasound examinations to ensure optimal image acquisition and diagnostic precision
- Explain procedures to patients, address their inquiries, and provide empathetic care during the examination
- Review previous imaging studies and reports prior to each examination for a comprehensive evaluation
- Assess image quality and identify pertinent findings to aid the interpreting Radiologist
- Present images and preliminary observations to the Radiologist and healthcare team
- Collaborate closely with Mammographers and Radiologists to gather all necessary diagnostic information
- Accurately document examinations and maintain complete patient records in the electronic medical record system
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment while ensuring examination rooms adhere to cleanliness and infection-control standards
- Efficiently and accurately use PACS, RIS, EMR, and other imaging software
- Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, professionalism, and quality care
What We're Looking For
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Advanced Breast Registry (AB) through ARDMS or Breast Sonography certification through ARRT, or eligibility to obtain certification within six months of hire
- Minimum of two years of specialized breast ultrasound experience
- Thorough knowledge of breast anatomy, physiology, ultrasound physics, and instrumentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational abilities
- Experience working with PACS, RIS, EMR, and other imaging information systems
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical setting
