Associate CAD Designer
CAD Design Assistant
Location: Jacksonville, FL
The Associate CAD Designer will primarily focus on acquiring skills in the daily tasks of a CAD Designer I, with the goal of advancing to CAD Designer I within a reasonable timeframe. The position involves creating digital Individual Patient Solutions (CAD) products, such as guides, implants, splints, and models. The employee must effectively collaborate with both internal members and surgeons to ensure the technical requirements for each case are met. This includes a comprehensive understanding of medical procedures and anatomy. The employee will utilize computer-aided design software to develop 3-dimensional models of the parts.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Learn and demonstrate knowledge of the complete product range of Individual Patient Solutions in relation to their division.
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to identify technical requirements of the customer, while working in collaboration with other team members.
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to design CAD products that adhere to technical requirements, as well as regulatory and internal guidelines.
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to comply with regulatory and internal guidelines when designing and manufacturing our products.
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to create clear depictions of parts and their technical features, ensuring purpose and desired manufacturing output are conveyed accurately.
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to design and execute tests to simulate product use, for the purpose of verifying and validating product performance, reliability, and usability.
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to contribute to the creation and maintenance of files specific to each patient's case.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Bioengineering, Biomedical), a comparable degree/certification in a technical/medical field, or equivalent amount of experience.
- Prior experience with 3D modeling software.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.
