Job Title: Assembly/Machine Builder

Location: Waterloo, Iowa

Salary: $24-29/hour

Job Summary: The Assembly/Machine Builder will undertake the construction of customized machines according to provided drawings. Candidates should demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and possess experience in assembling or repairing heavy industrial equipment. The ability to work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions is essential, along with meticulous attention to detail. Safety protocols must be adhered to at all times, ensuring a clean and organized work environment. This role involves the complete assembly of machines in a low-volume setting, offering first-shift hours and compensation based on expertise. Applicants will undergo drug screening and background checks.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing or mechanical fields
• Demonstrated mechanical proficiency
• Previous automotive or mechanical repair background preferred
• Ability to interpret blueprints
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems and operations
• Basic knowledge of 12V wiring
• Proficient in using wrenches, air tools, cranes, and handling steel
• Experience with forklift operation or willingness to undergo training
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
