Security Cleared Test Engineer

We are currently in need of a Test/Software Engineer who specializes in software development for testing and validating cryptographic products. This engineer will be responsible for the installation, integration, and testing of operational equipment and software to ensure compliance with system design, requirements, and standards. The engineer will also perform comprehensive security verification tests on cryptographic product designs and equipment, while maintaining a broad knowledge of the system.

The ideal candidate should exhibit adaptability, motivation, excellent customer service, and be willing to mentor others while staying updated with emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph
• Proficiency in Python coding language
• Proficiency in C coding language
• Experience in "hands-on" testing and debugging
• Ability to analyze system requirements and derive appropriate tests
• Capability to write tests using Python
• Proficient in debugging existing software and correcting defects
• Collaboration with hardware and software engineers to develop systems for testing cryptographic products
• Drafting or reviewing test plans and system documentation
• Assisting with recommendations for improving documentation and development process standards
• Assisting with the development and execution of test procedures for software components
• Ability to modify software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, and improve performance
• Coordination of software system installation and monitoring equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met

Other Highly Desirable Experience:

• Embedded software development
• FPGA experience
• Knowledge of cryptographic protocols, hardware, and software

Education/Experience:

Mid-Career: Four (4) years of test and/or software development experience and an Engineering or Computer Science Bachelor's degree. An additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for the education requirement.

Senior: Ten (10) years of test and/or software development experience and an Engineering or Computer Science Bachelor's degree. An additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
