General Summary:

An established company based in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Fabrication Engineer for their plant site located in Auburn, AL. The selected candidate will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and be involved in planning and designing manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and achieve manufacturing goals.

This role involves the use of 2D & 3D software such as SolidWorks, implementing productivity improvements, performing root cause analysis, designing production processes for new products, and participating in cross-functional teams to enhance productivity methods. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design production tooling using software like SolidWorks
• Implement productivity improvements for current production lines
• Perform root cause analysis of failures and recommend changes
• Design and implement production processes for new and existing products
• Conduct FMEA's on products involving designs, materials, or processes
• Review product designs for manufacturability and optimized processing
• Participate in design reviews and create work instructions
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, and more

Education/Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, at least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience, proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office, tooling experience, project management skills, and automation experience. Authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship is essential.
