Our client is in search of a seasoned Director of New Business Development to spearhead growth within their Aerospace Engineering Services division. This position is tailored for an innovative, goal-oriented business development expert with a robust background in engineering and technical services, extensive industry connections, and a proven track record of securing new clientele and enhancing current partnerships with Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
The ideal candidate will bring a consultative, solution-focused sales technique and collaborate closely with engineering and delivery teams to provide groundbreaking, high-value solutions to customers.
Location: Eastern United States | Remote / Work from Home
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, cultivate, and finalize new business prospects for engineering services within the aerospace sector.
- Utilize and broaden an existing network of Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to drive continuous revenue growth.
- Develop and implement a strategic business development strategy in alignment with the organization’s aerospace engineering capabilities.
- Take charge of solution-centric sales initiatives, showcasing engineering design, analysis, digital engineering, and testing services to tackle client obstacles.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure technical cohesion and successful solution delivery.
- Lead the entire sales process, from opportunity evaluation to proposal creation, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and deal finalization.
- Monitor industry trends, customer demands, and competitive landscapes to proactively pinpoint emerging opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8–10+ years of experience in business development or sales within the engineering services realm, preferably in aerospace and/or defense.
- Demonstrated success in selling engineering, design, or technology-centric services to Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Established relationships within pivotal aerospace accounts and a track record of unlocking new opportunities.
- Sound technical and commercial knowledge, with the capacity to translate complex engineering solutions into tangible business benefits.
- Exceptional executive-level communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, results-driven leader who excels in a remote setting and collaborates effectively with global teams.
- Willingness to travel within the Eastern U.S. and internationally as needed.
