Corporate Process Quality Manager
Position Summary:
The Corporate Process Quality Manager is responsible for leading a collaborative effort to establish and enhance a top-notch process control and quality culture, as well as a problem-solving culture. This role provides technical guidance to all manufacturing departments and implements sustainable process improvements on the shop floor. The focus is on integrating customer requirements, such as Nuclear, Military, Aerospace, NADCAP, and AS9001, within the company's Manufacturing Culture. The manager plays a crucial role in supporting shop floor manufacturing operations through complex problem-solving activities.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a best-in-class quality culture in collaboration with the Director of Quality and Corporate Quality Assurance Manager.
- Lead company-wide continuous improvement activities with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and process control.
- Support and enhance the company's Corrective Action Request (CAR) System by building teams and gaining buy-in for improvement activities.
- Communicate the importance of process control to all Employee Owners at every level.
- Lead the quality culture by engaging directly at all levels and stages of implementation and execution.
- Champion company-wide quality improvement initiatives and lead high-visibility quality problem-solving events.
- Develop meaningful relationships with company Employee Owners to achieve Best-in-Class performance.
- Ensure high engagement with sales and production leaders.
- Utilize technical support resources effectively to support quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Metallurgy (or equivalent). Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ) preferred. Minimum of 7 years of quality leadership experience with a proven track record in shop floor continuous improvement. Six Sigma Black Belt with multiple projects completed. Qualified Lead Auditor in quality systems such as ISO 9001:2008 or AS9100. Experience in the metals industry and/or metallurgy knowledge is a plus.
