Location: Fair Lawn, NJ
A premier home health agency in Fair Lawn, NJ is searching for an experienced and passionate Director of Nursing (RN) to lead their dedicated nursing team. This pivotal role involves managing and supervising nursing staff, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and developing operational policies to provide exceptional care in a home setting. The Director of Nursing also oversees all care partners, offering guidance and support for optimal care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate home care services in line with agency philosophy and standards
- Monitor the clinical status of all clients
- Assign nurses to client visits and optimize the per diem nurse supervisor budget
- Assist in the recruitment process, including interviewing and orientation
- Evaluate nurse supervisors and care partners
- Maintain strict adherence to local, state, federal, and HIPAA regulations
- Conduct client assessments as needed
- Develop and coordinate In-Service training programs
- Collaborate with community agencies for continuity of care
- Provide guidance and conduct home visits during designated Agency On-Call Hours
- Participate in office meetings and community events
- Report to the CEO
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in New Jersey
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent, with 2 years of RN experience in community or home health
- 3 years of RN experience in community or home health without a BSN degree
- Experience providing nursing services in a home environment or assisted living facilities
- Strong prioritization and multitasking skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform physical tasks and handle high-stress environments
